Getting Around

A car is not needed at Nine Olives Hvar, although having one allows some extra flexibility to explore the island, which is very scenic and has many attractions. The house has two parking spaces and there is additional parking in front.

It is easy to hire a mini bus for excursions. We have a special arrangement with a taxi driver called Robert Cagalja who is very helpful. He has two Mercedes vans seating 8 and 7.  You can contact  him via Whatsapp +385 95 889 1313

There is a bus service to Hvar Town and Jelsa (from either the ferry port, 800m away, or the east side of the town centre, 1.7 km away) both of which are attractive> It is not expensive to get taxis to / from either.

The car-free roads alongside the harbour are ideal for leisurely cycling, and there are beautiful cycling routes through the surrounding countryside, from easy-going to challenging, always offering great views. There are bike rental companies in the town, including Hvar Life, 100 m from the house, which gives a 25% discount to my guests (quote Nine Olives when reserving). They have kids bikes.
